Land on the bank of the Maranhão Dam in Avis, Portalegre district, consisting of two contiguous plots, 57/A (5.975 ha) and 58/A (6.65 ha).
Within the scope of nº 3 of Article 9 of Law nº 111/2015 of 27 August, this land with a total of 12 625 ha aims at the development of buildings with a tourist profile and exploitation, hotel or similar, not excluding buildings for housing respecting the respective legal framework.
According to the opinion of the Municipality of Avis, on this land it is possible to build tourist units with 100 m2 per hectare and a maximum height of 6.5 meters.
Built to serve agriculture and generate electricity, this dam, with a water surface of 46 km, radically altered the landscape of this region and even made it possible to introduce new irrigated crops.
Distinguished in 2021 with the Blue Flag and internationally elected as the best dam for canoeing, these waters have the ideal conditions for the practice of various sports.
In the surroundings, the various support facilities complement the attractiveness of this area: picnic park, children's playground, solarium, nautical hangar, restaurant, bar and points of interest such as Castelo de Avis.
The occupancy rate of the Herdade da Cortesia hotel, the best and best known hotel in the area, shows the uniqueness and profitability of this place.
